The Sunday Review 3/3/2019

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Sunday Review where I talk about all the bookish (and not so bookish) adventures I’ve had over the past week!

Books I finished:

Just one for this week, but it was a really good one.

  • Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

This was actually my third time reading this book and it’s still amazing. I actually bumped it up to a 4.5/5 from my previous 4 star rating. Celaena is such a cool character and I love the way Maas writes suspenseful actions scenes, of which there are many. I found myself comparing Throne of Glass to A Court of Thorns and Roses and was a little amazed by how much I felt ACOTAR paled in comparison.

I’m really looking forward to continuing with the series with my book club! Especially since I’ve never read past Crown of Midnight.

Books I’ve added to my TBR:

Books I’m reading now:

I am cruising through Heir of Ra at the moment and I suspect I’ll be done with it very soon! It’s like a mix between The Mummy and Lara Croft and it’s so much fun.

I am also finally listening to The Dream Thieves on audiobook and I’m in LOVE. This story just has a way of drawing you in. I spend my drives to and from work totally enraptured by Blue and the gang.

Songs I’ve been listening to:

  • Levitate // Twenty-One Pilots
  • Black Sheep // Sneaker Pimps
  • All That I’ve Got // The Used
  • Love to a Monster // Okkervil River
  • The American Nightmare // Ice Nine Kills
  • SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK // Joji

What I’ve been up to:

I started learning how to box and it’s my new favorite thing ever. I’m one of those people who hates exercising and is terrified of going to the gym but I am having a blast with this. It’s a great way to get out some energy and frustration and I’ve noticed a big improvement in my mood on a day-to-day basis.
